If you want to check with Sandy Wright with ARCBCR after you find out more details there maybe a possibility she will take them. I talked to Nancy and she will see if she has any pilots that could help as well.
I called around this morning and found out that anyone interested in these dogs can contact Last Chance Arkansas. I was told that Kerry Kessler goes to the pound all of the time and evaluates, and can help with pulls and setting up out of state transport .
On the adoption page it says In many cases Last Chance Arkansas can help facilitate out-of-state adoptions. There is a regular weekly transport that runs from Arkansas to the New England area. We can also fly your new family member to you
I have not contacted Last Chance about these dogs and do not know what the vetting and transportation fees are. But I wanted to share their information with whomever might be interested in helping them.
It is Carrie, not Kerry, and she is the person I spoke with yesterday. Her phone # is @ 501 590 9785 and e-mail carrie @ lastchancearkansas. org (remove spaces). She is very helpful and she said that the AC is short staffed but Barbara there is helpful too so you might want to ask for her.
Carrie said they have paid ground and air transport. She didn't know much about PilotsnPaws but she does now!
I stumbled across this page while researching red merle border collies and aussies. And there, in the middle, was a picture of the dog I adopted in July! Her name is Lucy. We have determined that she is an Aussie because of her herding style. And she is getting bigger and fluffier and looking more like an Aussie than when we first got her. Here is a recent picture of her.
