"Angel" PB with sad Note in Collar:Duncan, OK*ADOPTED*

Can you imagine writing a note that you are no longer able to take care of your beautiful young Border Collie girl...attaching it to her collar...and then abandoning her on the streets? That is what happened to "Angel". :-(

This gorgeous bi-eyed girl is in Duncan, Oklahoma. It is about halfway between Dallas and OK City, a bit West of Interstate 35.

Hi, My name is Angel! I am a border collie that is about 2-3 years old. I was found as a stray with a note on my collar that said my owner could not longer keep me. I am very friendly and love attention. I now some basic voice commands and love to lay at your feet. I am current on my vaccinations and already spayed. I am missing my family, so I am a little depressed.

Angel is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.

If you're interested in this dog, please don't hesitate. This shelter is not a good place to be.

Is anyone close to this shelter?

She's a beautiful dog. My Bailey has one brown and one blue eye, so I'd really like to help this pretty girl.

Bruce (Wayfaring) lives in OKC and might be able to help, though you'd have to contact him to find out for sure.

I know a transporter near Duncan and she might be able to bring the dog down into North Texas if the dog had a place to go. Of course, I can't speak for her, but if the dog had a concrete place to go I could send her an email.

The last one I picked up there was full of ticks. They are very nice, but probably overcrowded... as always.

I may be able to get there tomorrow, but I'm not positive at the moment. This weekend I'm tied up with an agility trial in Norman, but can try to make arrangements to meet someone there.

Edit: I just called and she's heading to Austin, TX. Someone called with their credit card and she's already getting vetted.

What a lucky family in Austin... she's such a beautiful girl. Truly an "Angel."

Every dog I've picked up from this shelter has been covered in ticks. One tested positive for Ehrlichia, too.
